The Network Biology Collaborative Centre (NBCC)

The NBCC is located at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI) in Mount Sinai Hospital. The Centre was formed in 2014 from the amalgamation of two flagship LTRI facilities: The Proteomics Facility for mass spectrometry-based analysis of protein function and the SMART High-Throughput and High-Content Screening laboratory for functional genomics studies. The Centre is a Genome Canada-funded genomics technology platform

The mandate of the Centre is to assist Canadian and International scientists in their investigation of complex biological networks related to human health and disease by providing access to advanced instrumentation, proven workflows, and world-class expertise in functional proteomics and genomics.

Facilities operating under NBCC include:

Clinical Research Services

Contract and Clinical Research Facilities and Services are provided through MSH’s Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine (PLM), operating GLP certified laboratories fully accredited in Canada and the US. PLM provides a wide spectrum of services for basic, translational, and clinical research to meet the needs of the biomedical industry including consultation on project feasibility assessment, research project development and management, project co-ordination with external academia and industry, and data interpretation services including biostatistics and bioinformatics.
Visit the PLM website for more information

Animals Models and Services

The Centre for Phenogenomics (TCP) is an innovative, scientific collaboration between four research hospitals to operate a centralized, state-of-the-art research-enabling mouse facility. We conduct and support genetic research involving generation of mutant mice, physiological phenotyping, behavioural analysis, imaging, pathology and cryopreservation for storage and distribution.
