Maria Shutova

I joined the Nagy lab as a Postdoctoral fellow in June 2015. I obtained my Masters diploma from Moscow State University at 2008 and PhD in molecular genetics from the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2012. I have worked on several projects involving hES and hiPS differentiation, as well as others that used human cell reprogramming as tools for modeling diseases. I plunged into bioinformatics as an approach to understand and analyze specific cell states during my final year in Moscow, where we compared isogenic human ESCs and iPSCs. In the Nagy lab, I am applying bioinformatics approaches to deepen our analysis and understanding of the data recently obtained from the lab’s “Project Grandiose” dataset.
