Training Programs at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum


SUMMER STUDENTS

Each year, the RTC welcomes over 60 summer students to our undergraduate summer research program. Applicants must be, at minimum, within their second year of study at a relevant university science program. For information on the application requirements and procedure click here.

Additionally, the RTC provides opportunities for high school interns (grade 11 or 12) every summer. This program is designed for students interested in a science career to gain lab experience. For more information on the program and requirements, please visit the SciHigh website.  

GRADUATE STUDENTS

Graduate students (GS) training in the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum) must be accepted into a PhD or MSc graduate program at the University of Toronto. For details on programs and application process please visit the University of Toronto School of Graduate Studies website for prospective graduate students.

POST DOCTORAL FELLOWS

Postdoctoral fellow positions are open to trainees who have recently completed their Ph.D. or M.D. from a recognized institution (graduated within the past five (5) years). If you are interested in applying for a postdoctoral fellowship please contact potential investigators directly. A list of scientific faculty currently at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum can be found on the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum homepage.

CLINICAL RESEARCH FELLOWS

The RTC does not administer the selection of clinical research fellows. Please contact the appropriate hospital department at Mount Sinai Hospital to explore clinical research fellowship programs.

VOLUNTEERS

The Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute does not accept volunteers in the laboratories. If you would like to gain research experience please apply to our RTC Summer Research Program for Undergraduates at http://research.lunenfeld.ca/rtc/?page=Summer%20Research%20Program
