Violeta Tapia has been a dedicated member of the workforce at Mount Sinai Hospital since April 1992. Over the past 34 years, she has built a strong and reliable career contributing to both research and clinical settings. Since July 2018, she has provided administrative support to the Nagy Lab, where she plays an integral role in supporting day-to-day operations.
In 2015, after ten years of balancing full-time work and academic pursuits, Ms. Tapia earned her Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with High Distinction from the University of Toronto. She specialized in International Relations, with a major in Ethics, Society and Law.
Alongside her professional and academic commitments, Ms. Tapia dedicated ten years of volunteer service as a Business Manager for the Etobicoke Basketball Association, contributing her organizational and financial management skills to support community sports initiatives.
Outside of her professional life, she enjoys reading and has a passion for travel, particularly backpacking and immersing herself in diverse cultures.
