I did my PhD at Imperial College London, UK,  at the Lymphocyte Development Laboratory under the supervision of Dr Matthias Merkenschlager. I received two PhD fellowships to pursue my studies (Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds and the Medical Research Council Overseas Student Fellowship). My PhD work has focused on the role of cohesin in regulating somatic cell reprogramming and in stem cell biology, especially concerning the transcriptional control of embryonic stem cell differentiation. Soon after, I did a short postdoc at the Francis Crick Institute London, at the Haematopoietic Stem Cell Laboratory under the supervision of Dominique Bonnet. I led a project to understand the epigenetic mechanisms that define haematopoietic stem cells and leukemic stem cells. I have a lifelong love for continuous learning and I am deeply interested in understanding how genes are regulated during development and the consequences of mis-regulation in disease. I joined Nagy lab in July 2021 as a postdoctoral fellow and can't wait to start doing some incredible research with the lab team! Outside the lab, I love spending time with my children, cooking different foods, reading and hand-made crafts.
