I received my PhD in Zoology from University of Queensland in Australia. Then I decided to pursue my career in biological computing. After I obtained my second MSc in Information Technology at the University of Stirling in Scotland, I came to Canada and completed my post-doc and then worked as a research associate in Dalhousie University. My project was “Development of Particle Lattice-Autonomous Organism Model for Simulation of Bioturbation of Organisms on Sediments”. I joined Rod’s Lab in 2008. Since then, I have worked as a bioinformatician to apply my expertise in biological computing in cancer research for more than 12 years. I analyze and integrate multiple types of genomic datasets, such as RNAsseq, ChIPseq, single cell seq, etc. |
