All about GRB-2

Grb2 is a small adapter protein containing two SH2 domains and an SH3 domain. In cells Grb2 associates, via the SH3 domain, with the Ras guanine nucleotide exchange factor, SOS. Tyrosine autophosphorylation of receptor-tyrosine kinases recruits the Grb2/SOS complex to the plasma membrane where it can interact with its target, Ras, casing an exchange of GDP for GTP and conformation activation of the small G protein.

We're not working on Grb-2 and so rely on published data from others for this page. If you do work on Grb-2 and would like to contribute information to this map, let us know and we'll show you how.
